Crypto and blockchain offerings have seen a recent explosion in popularity, but few hold the promise of decentralizing AI along with the data it will consume. The potential promise of AI is astounding, perhaps only limited by the lack of relevant data. By removing the shackles of centralization from both, the true power of the decentralized economy can be brought to bear, accelerating the proliferation of AI agents and the eradication of data silos.

It is because of this that Ocean Protocol is incredibly excited to announce our newest partnership with SingularityNET, a decentralized AI marketplace powered by the world’s first AI interoperability standards aimed at advancing a benevolent singularity for all. Led by the incredible team that brought us Sophia, SingularityNET aims to create a future where AI applications are available to everyone, regardless of wealth, power, or influence.

And what a future this could be! The prospect of interoperability between Ocean Protocol and SingularityNET is immense. By exposing vast amounts of data to AI agents, developers and researchers will be able to train their models faster, and expose data that would be otherwise be unavailable to sophisticated AI. The result will be unlimited possibilities, from increased agricultural yields to greater drug efficacy to safer automobiles to improved education.

“The relationship between AI and data is an intimate one. Many of today’s AI algorithms are highly data-centric, requiring large amounts of information to feed their learning. Today’s applied AI problems are also data-centric, involving organizations that need relevant patterns found in certain private or public datasets. As a decentralized AI marketplace, SingularityNET could benefit greatly from tight integration with Ocean Protocol’s decentralized data management and exchange framework.” — Ben Goertzel, Founder of SingularityNET.

The team at Ocean Protocol views the partnership with SingularityNET as an inflection point, and is looking forward to collaborating as we move towards a decentralized, AI powered future!
