Data Farming DF24 Completed, DF25 Started
Stakers can claim DF24 rewards. DF25 runs Feb 16-Feb 23, 2023.
1. Overview
The Ocean Protocol Data Farming program incentivizes the consumption of data assets in the Ocean ecosystem. It rewards stakers with OCEAN who allocate liquidity to curate data assets with high data consume volume (DCV).
To participate, users lock OCEAN to receive veOCEAN, then allocate veOCEAN to promising data assets (data NFTs) via the DF webapp.
DF Round 24 (DF24) is part of DF Beta. DF24 counting started 12:01am Feb 9, 2022 and ended 12:01am Feb 16, 2023. 75K OCEAN worth of rewards were available.
Due to an issue in distributing the rewards for DF 23, Passive Rewards for both DF 23 and DF 24 will only be claimable in DF24 on Feb 16th.
Active Rewards are available, and Curators can now claim Active Rewards at the DF webapp Claim Portal.
DF25 is part of DF Beta. Counting started 12:01am UTC Feb 16, 2023.

2. How To Claim Rewards
As a Curator, here’s how to claim rewards:
- Go to DF webapp Claim Portal
- Connect your wallet
- Active Rewards are distributed on Ethereum mainnet. Click “Claim”, sign the tx, and collect your rewards
Due to an issue, Passive Rewards from Round 23 were distributed after the deadline and will only be claimable at DF24.
Rewards accumulate over weeks so you can claim rewards at your leisure. If you claim weekly, you can re-stake your rewards for compound gains.
3. DF25 Overview
DF25 is part of DF Beta. DF Beta’s aim is to test the effect of larger incentives, learn, and refine the technology. DF Beta may run 10–20 weeks. In any given week of DF Beta, the total budget may be as low as 10K $OCEAN or as high as 100K $OCEAN
Some key numbers:
- Total budget is 75,000 $OCEAN.
- 50% of the budget goes to passive rewards (37,500 $OCEAN) — rewarding users who hold veOCEAN (locked OCEAN)
- 50% of the budget goes to active rewards (37,500 $OCEAN) — rewarding users who allocate their veOCEAN towards productive datasets (having DCV).
- Ocean currently supports five production networks: Ethereum Mainnet, Polygon, BSC, EWC, and Moonriver. DF applies to data on all of them.
As usual, the Ocean core team reserves the right to update the DF rewards function and parameters, based on observing behavior. Updates are always announced at the beginning of a round, if not sooner.

DF24 has completed. To claim rewards, go to DF webapp Claim Portal.
Due to an issue with DF 23, Passive Rewards for both DF 23 and DF 24 are available to claim on DF24 (you can find the tx here).

DF25 is part of DF Beta. The Rewards budget is 75K $OCEAN.
